JOHN FOGERTY REVIEW:

2008 STAGECOACH COUNTRY MUSIC FESTIVAL

BY JACKIE DEVEREAUX

INDIO, CA

- The crossover mix of Rock-N-Roll with Country Music merged

with a tremendous performance

by John Fogerty Friday night at the 2008 Stagecoach Country Music

Festival held here.

The three-day music festival hosted approximately 60,000 people to hear 60 acts on three stages. Fogerty, formerly with the swamp rock

and blues band, Credence

Clearwater Revival, played energetically and looked terrific showing that longevity does bring maturity to the

music business. His crisp guitar riffs and still powerful voice delivered the audience right into the Eagles

lap, when they performed last at the Friday night Mane

Stage.

Fogerty, born in Berkeley,

CA, was dressed in jeans and

a blue cowboy shirt with a handkerchief tied around his neck. He sounded great from

our front and center vantage

point, (Section 1, Row 3, Seats

11

& 12). We were

right up front and loved every

minute of it. He started at 7:45 p.m. with "Born On The Bayou? followed by "Bad Moon Rising.? Fogerty joked with the crowd about

being a grandson of Buffalo

Bill Cody saying, "I still have this kid in me.? Fogerty reminded the

crowd that he was at Woodstock

in June 1969. "A half million people got naked,

and I went home and wrote

this song.? He played "Who Will Stop The Rain,? followed by "Looking Out My Backdoo;? "Down On the Corner;? "It Ain't Me;? and "Rolling On A River.?
